Jamie Califf, LMHC
Master of Arts in Counseling – Western Seminary
Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor
I believe health comes through living an integrated life in body, mind, soul and spirit. I am passionate about helping people work toward health and wholeness by offering compassion and working collaboratively to help individuals discover and use their own personal strengths, skills and resources to help cope with the problems they are experiencing in life.
I am committed to offering empathy and meeting each individual right where they are at mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually. I have a broad range of volunteer and internship counseling experiences in church, professional, work, and government settings working with individuals of all ages as well as groups. I have experience working with individuals, couples, and families seeking solutions for a variety of issues including: depression, anxiety, stress, anger management, post-traumatic stress disorder, communication, relationships, and ADHD. I have received additional training in family systems, play therapy, sand tray therapy, and career and lifestyle development.
I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. I previously received a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Washington in Seattle. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the Oregon Counseling Association (ORCA). I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (LH60768021).
In addition to being a counselor at CHARIS Counseling Associates, I am involved in my church’s small group ministry, working primarily with young adults. My husband of 10 years, our two children and I enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including hiking and camping. I am also an avid reader and runner. I love being active in my community and am passionate about helping you set goals and find solutions for whatever problems you may be experiencing in life right now. I look forward to the possibility of meeting you, hearing about your passions, and working with you to discover your own set of strengths, skills and resources needed to achieve healthy, whole life!
